Pity the poor twenty-eight-year-old beauty expert and columnist for ultra-chic Enchanté magazine, knocked right out of her Jimmy Choos-and out of a job-when her off-the-cuff comment to a reporter is blown way out of proportion. This book is perfect read for a vacation or just if you need to escape into another world for a little while. From Nadine Haobsh, aka Jolie in NYC ("The poster child for the blogger generation.you can't help but love her."- New York Post), comes a delectable novel that only a true beauty industry insider could have written!īella Hunter may be down but she's not out yet-and she's ready to take on the world of beauty.one bad makeover at a time. There is nothing I love more then to peek into someone’s beauty arsenal!! I think I will go check out Haobsh’s other book Beauty Confidential. As a fellow beauty junkie, I squealed with excitement. I loved this book and could not put it down. But how can she face her friends and ex-coworkers now that she’s stuck in an office where khaki-not Cavalli-is the way of life? My latest read was Confessions of a Beauty Addict by Nadine Haobsh, a former beauty editor and author of the popular beauty blog “ Jolie Nadine.” As a former magazine editor, I always felt I belonged in the beauty department. My bookshelves are filled with many brightly colored novels and I count Sophie Kinsella and Megan McCafferty among my favorites. I love “chick-lit” and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
